Voice Access Line

Getting Started

  1. Call VAL in Metropolitan Phoenix at (602) 271-0322 or outside the (602) area code 1-800-352-5458
  2. Enter your SunWest Federal Credit Union member number, followed by the #.
  3. Enter your VAL access code (NOTE - for all new members, this access code will be the last four digits of the primary social security number -- please change your access code, using VAL, at your first opportunity -- service code 66.)

Helpful Information

  1. You must call from a touch tone phone.
  2. Press # after each entry.
  3. You can bypass the spoken instructions at any time by entering your next service code.
  4. Enter dollar amounts with no decimals -- $100.00 is entered as 10000#.
  5. If you make an error when entering, press * # to cancel the entry.
  6. All check withdrawals will be mailed to the address on record the following business day.
  7. If you need a check mailed from your line of credit loan, request a loan to share transfer (service code 28#) and then request the withdrawal from your primary share account (34#).
  8. You may refer to your account statement to determine your account and loan numbers. Transfers can only be made between accounts with the same primary member number.
  9. If an invalid request has been made , VAL will offer you three opportunities to enter a valid code, and then disconnect. Please check the available service codes and try again.

Try Using The Demonstration Account

To practice before accessing your own account, you may try the built in demonstration account. Call VAL, and enter the member number 123456789, and use 1234 as the access code. Then select any of the service codes on the reference guide above -- to see how each of them works.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Limitations

To comply with federal regulations , we must limit the electronic transfers from your primary or secondary share account to 6 times per month. This includes the following transactions:

  1. Telephone transfers through the information center or through VAL.
  2. Overdraft protection transfers from your primary share account to cover a sharedraft or VISA transaction or pre-authorized withdrawal.

We will dishonor a transaction if there are insufficient funds, if a credit limit is exceeded, or if it would result in more than the allowable six (6) pre-authorized or telephone EFT savings transfers per month.

Security Recommendations

Your access code for VAL allows full information access to your SunWest account. Do not write this four digit number anywhere that is not secure. No one but you has the record of this number. If you forget your access code, call our information center and we will reset your access code. Then you can easily change your code in VAL, to whatever number you choose.
