Protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal financial information has always been fundamental to the way we do business at SunWest FCU. We feel it is important for you to understand the measures we've taken to ensure the security of your online transactions and personal information. If you have additional questions not answered by the following information, please contact us via the email section of our web site.
To avoid unauthorized viewing of information that is exchanged between your computer and our secure Internet servers, we utilize state-of-the-art data encryption. Anytime you transmit data to us from a secure form found on our web site (loan application, check order, email, etc.), or while using our Online Banking Internet Banking service, the information is encrypted. To be sure your connection is secure, look for a closed "padlock" displayed on the status bar of Internet Explorer, or an intact key (not broken) on the status bar of Netscape Navigator, when connected to one of these secure areas of our web site. We recommend using the most recent versions of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator for the highest possible level of security. We also recommend staying up to date on your operating system and browser security patches.
The program you use to view information over the Internet is called a "web browser". The most widely used and accepted browsers are Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Netscape's Navigator. The current versions of both of these browsers contain the necessary support for the Internet security technologies utilized by our web site. We require using the most current, 128 bit versions of either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. This will ensure that you can take full advantage of the security and technology enhancements built into our web site. You should also keep your browser "in-tune" by installing security patches and plug-ins made available from time to time by the web browser vendor. If you are accessing our site from your place of business, please follow your internal policies with regard to installing/upgrading software. If your web browser needs upgrading or tuning, the links below should get you started.
Your member number/password combination allows full information access to your SunWest account. Do not record your password anywhere that is not secured. You are responsible for the security of your password. If you forget your password, call our information center and we will reset it for you. Your initial password defaults to your VAL access code. At your first opportunity, we recommend changing your password to something of your choice. Your password may be changed in the User Options section once logged in to Online Banking.
In an effort to detect any "suspicious" activity, invalid login attempts are monitored. Online Banking will block access to your account a few unsuccessful login attempts. If this happens to you, please contact our Information Center at (602) 866-1100 or (800) 352-4055 for assistance. Account access will remain blocked until you notify us that re-initialization is required.
Preventing unauthorized access to our internal systems and data is a critical component of our Internet security strategy. Our interactive Internet services have been designed with this protection in mind. We have partnered with industry experts to provide services that guard against unwanted intruders. Our systems are monitored and maintained 24 hours a day by professionals trained in Internet security.
If you have logged into Online Banking and have not initiated any activity your session will be "timed out". This is for your protection and security.
